Sponsorable Horses

Would you love to own a horse but lack the time, space, or expertise for one? We have the next best thing: sponsoring a sanctuary horse!

By becoming a sponsor for one of our permanent residents, you'll become an integral part of their care. Your sponsorship money will be used to cover the horse's monthly financial needs, including food, medication, and hoof trims. You'll also have an input on any of the major decisions regarding your horse's care. In addition, sponsors will receive regular monthly updates on their special steed with photos, a small lock of their mane or tail, and the option to have a photo and description of you and your horse featured on the website. You can also come to the rescue and spend some time with your horse, and for some horses, you'll even have the option to change their name.

As an added benefit, horse sponsors also receive early access registration for all limited access events held by Fallen Oak.

This is a fantastic way to receive all the pride and connection of having one of man's oldest friends without having to clean a single stall, knowing that your contribution is directly going to care for a horse in need.

Mercy
Breed: Tennessee Walker
Change name: No ❌
Gender: Female
Age: 24
"First brought to the rescue in a bad state and full of lice, Mercy was one of the worst causes we've ever seen. She's since been adopted and then returned back to Fallen Oak in August, and won't be getting adopted out again. She can be quite nervous, although she's good with the farrier (until he gets to one of her back legs), and does great on grass."

Montana
Breed: Rocky Mountain
Change name: No ❌
Gender: Female
Age: 33
"This mare is the oldest here at Fallen Oak, with 2 very famous foals! She was taken in when the owners decided they were done with her after she could no longer bear kin. Despite this she is in great health and, as the oldest, has found her place as “Boss mare”. She is a very quick and forward mare who spares no time getting to know you!"

"He's an Alpha that loves to run the pasture. And while he is gentle and kind in the morning, he can be real cranky (donkey-esk) in the evening! Especially when he is under a saddle. His bi-polar personality contributes to his temper."
