Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday. What does that mean to you?
To me, it is an opportunity for me to donate to causes that need help or support for a variety of reasons. I am a giver, always have been. When I received the proceeds from my fundraiser this year, I donated a in portion of it to three other nonprofits. I believe it’s important to support and help others.
The rescue currently has 25 horses, all are sanctuary, except for one who is currently in training. The average cost to feed and maintain one of our sanctuary residents is approximately $475 a month. Some of the older horses are as high as $600 with medications and supplements. The rescue is currently spending about $8,000 a month to properly take care of these horses.
